The Sensualists have created a strange breed of music, falling somewhere between swirling psychedelia, experimental electronics, and upbeat dance-pop. Anna Fidler’s vocals drift over layers of farfissa, vintage synthesizer, organ sounds, electric bass, and live drums, as well as the their own homemade electronic sound machines. The Sensualsits quickly gained notoriety for their live shows at house parties around their hometown of Portland, Oregon accompaniment by hand-made super8 film loops and creative light show gadgetry--eventually earning opening slots for bands like Mouse on Mars, IQU, Broadcast, and Outhud.
